This is no longer a co-incidence. In the space of two weeks, three black young men have been found hanging from a tree. Robert Fuller, Malcolm Harsch and now a black male teen. All on cases of alleged suicide.
According to Houston Chronicle, a Black teen was found hanging from a tree, in what officers say is a suicide in Spring, Texas–a suburb of Houston.
“Based on security video, witnesses and other evidence, preliminary indications are the male hanged himself,” the sheriff’s office said on social media. “There are currently no signs of foul play.”
This is one of many reports of a string of reported suicides happening all over the country. Just a few days ago, we reported the hanging death of a Black man in Palmdale, California. Reported by The AV Times, on June 10th, 23-year-old Robert Fuller-a young black-was found hanging from a tree with a rope around his neck; which happened by the Palmdale City Hall building in Los Angeles. Fuller’s body was found around 4AM on June 10th hanging from a tree in Poncitlan Square;?according to Lt. Brandon Dean of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau.
Black Male Found Hanging
“A black male teenager hanged himself early Wednesday in what appears to be a suicide,” according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
His body was found in a back corner on Ehrhardt Elementary School property. After authorities reviewed surveillance footage, spoke with neighbors; and assessed other evidence it was concluded that the teen took his own life. An autopsy is pending but no foul play is suspected.
Palmdale City officials released a statement on June 11th following the discovery of Fuller’s body; saying they extend “sincere condolences and sympathies to the family and friends of the individual who tragically passed away in Palmdale… Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Sadly, it is not the first such incident since the COVID-19 pandemic began.”
