As of Thursday, the three men convicted of the murder of rapper XXXTentacion had been sentenced.
Trayvon Newsome, Michael Boatwright, and Dedrick Williams were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the death of XXXtentacion in 2018.

According to CBS News, the defendants showed “little emotion” as Circuit Judge Michael Usan read their sentences.
According to Local 10, after a lengthy, contentious trial and more than a week of deliberation, all three men accused of killing rapper XXXTentacion were found guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery.

The young rapper, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was ambushed after leaving Riva Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida, in June 2018. Two masked men jumped out of a blue Dodge Journey and stole a bag full of cash before fatally shooting him multiple times.

According to authorities, the masked men were Newsome and Boatwright, and Williams was driving while another man, Robert Allen, sat in the back seat.
Allen pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and testified for the state in June. Meanwhile, all three are expected to file appeals against their convictions in the coming years.
The defense attempted to discredit Allen’s testimony. Furthermore, investigators failed to follow up on a feud with fellow rapper Drake. However, prosecutors stated that there was no evidence linking him to XXXTentacion’s murder.
Drake’s attorney recently filed a motion to overrule the subpoena request, which the judge granted.
