A while back, we brought you a story about how a couple of African-American Hollywood actors spent their Christmas holidays at the Full Circle Festival in Ghana. We are sure anytime they remember their African experience their faces will be filled with smiles.
Ok so we take busses & boats to see the King of Akwamu who appoints me, King Nana Akoto III Odopon. I’ve got “Life Of Brian” flashing through my head but quickly realize the significance & accept the position wholeheartedly. I’ve got some work to do for the place of my origin. pic.twitter.com/7sd0w5Mbiz

Among the notable events they wouldn’t forget in a hurry was the coronation of Michael Jai White, Afro-American actor and martial artist as a chief. He was installed as a chief in the Akwamu Traditional Area, Ghana. The title bestowed on him was Nana Akoto III, Odopon. Translating this to English it means, a tree with strong roots that fears no storm.
You know Africa lives in you when you hear the rhythm and your body knows exactly what to do. Ayekoo! @MichaelJaiWhite @BorisKodjoe @badassboz with @Akwamuhene at #FullCircleFestival @MOTACGhana @animle_oyanka @HRHPrincessEOB @BBCAfrica pic.twitter.com/FBUrMz3XgO
