The trio, Normani, Calvin Harris and Nigerian StarBoy “Wizkid” have a new song which is already making waves titled “Checklist.”
Normani’s music career has been on fire since her group Fifth Harmony announced their split. She had a single on which she collaborated with Khalid “Love Lies.” The single debuted at number 43 on the Hot 100. She also recently collaborated with Nigerian born Davido to feature on the track “Swing” which is one of the tracks on Quavo’s debut album “Quavo Huncho.”
Wizkid fondly referred to as “StarBoy” has definitely had a busy year. Prior to working on “Checklist” he had put out his own singles “Fever” and “Master Groove.” The Afro pop star is on fire this year as both his singles and features have gained huge amount of downloads and on-air play time. He has also collaborated with A-list acts to give us great hits like“Soco,” “Kana,” “Bad Energy,” “Immediately,” and “Fake Love.”
On “Checklist” the artists put together a stellar performance giving us an upbeat pop song with a touch of dancehall to it. The lyrics of the song are quite hypnotic with lines like, “Straight up out of heaven wit‘ it uh, Baby, you a blessing wit’ it uh/ Come teach me a lesson wit’ it uh.”
Everyone thinks this new jam is so lit and we are not left out.
