Ryan Garner, a 17-year-old from North Carolina, has made history by becoming the youngest Black person in the state to earn a private pilot license.

Garner’s journey into aviation began at a small airport in Indian Trail, North Carolina. Initially, he joined the ground crew, helping with plane arrivals. However, a pivotal conversation with a Delta Airlines pilot ignited his passion for flying, leading him to enroll in flight school.
