Ayanna Williams has been breeding her nails for close to three decades and finally she has cut them reaching a length of 24 feet 0.7 inches. The nails would be deposited in a museum.
According to Guinness. In 2017, Williams broke the record for longest fingernails on a pair of hands (female) when they measured more than 18 feet.

For the first time since the early 1990s, Williams’ nails were cut with an electric rotary tool at a dermatology office over the weekend in Fort Worth, Texas, according to CNN.

Talking about her nail care, Ayanna Williams revealed that it takes three to four bottles of polish during a manicure to paint her nails.

“It can take up to five days to probably do everything, and just the polish can take two to three days,” Williams told Guinness in a Facebook Live interview in 2017.

 

 

However, She made the difficult decision because she’d like to pick; “up the pace” and move on “to the next chapter of her life,” Ripley’s reported. Ripley’s accompanied Ayanna to Trinity Vista Dermatology in Fort Worth, Texas over the weekend. Dr. Readinger took lead in clipping the impressive nails. Guinness World Records published an eight-minute video of the event to their YouTube page on Tuesday.

Despite Having mixed feelings about saying goodbye to her legendary claws; the cut-off procedure was painless and seamless. Afterwards, Ayanna resumed activities she hadn’t done in years—like easily texting, hopping into the car and opening doors, according to Ripley’s.

 

“I’m gonna always be the queen that I am with or without my nails cause my nails don’t make me, I make my nails,” Ayanna said in a Guinness video.
