Amidst difficult times,people can now have a sigh of relief as Gabrielle Union assures the return of Black Girl Magic to NBC in a confused world.

According to a report linked to Variety shows that Mary Jane will be the executive Producer on Black Girl Magic, a new TV Comedy series that tells the story of three separated sisters who learnt mysterious secret about their family background that changes their lives and brings them back to the magical world of New Orleans.

Black Girl Magic happens to be the creation of Emebeit Beyene,Crystal Boydd,and Chandra Russel, who you probably recognize from the new comedy series South Side. The three also worked on Downtown girls in 2013.

Beyene, Boyd, and Russell will all serve as executive producers on the series as well, while Union’s contribution will be through her production company, I’ll Have Another.

Russel and Beyene respectively took to Instagram to celebrate the project being greenlit.

On her page,She noted“This is what dedication looks like. I worked hard for this, man,” Beyene posted. “Cried all year off taking so many L’s. Grateful to my team for believing in me, @gabunion for advocating day in and day out, and most importantly, to those two ride or dies pictured next to me. Let’s do this.

“There was more than one way to have a hot girl summer. Some of us drove the boat while others quietly closed deals,” Russell wrote. “Shout out to the girls next to me who did both. And shout out to me who did it and tired. God is good.”
