Despite their divorce being finalized eight years ago, Nick Cannon continues to hold out hope for a reunion with his ex-wife, Mariah Carey. The former couple shares 13-year-old twins, Moroccan “Roc” Cannon and Monroe “Roe” Cannon, and Cannon remains optimistic about their future together.

In a recent interview with E! News, Cannon expressed his enduring feelings for Carey. “We belong together,” he joked while speaking alongside his We Playin’ Spades cohost Courtney Bee. When asked if he would consider getting back with Carey, Cannon responded enthusiastically, “Yes, absolutely. Be stupid if I wouldn’t.”

Cannon’s optimism has been reignited, especially following Carey’s recent split from her boyfriend, Brian Tanaka, in December. However, he acknowledges the reality of the situation, admitting, “She don’t want me.”

Courtney Bee humorously suggested that Cannon’s ten children with various partners might be a contributing factor. Cannon, 43, responded with good humor, “A whole baseball team. Like, ‘No, you can’t come back home.’”

Despite the complexities of his blended family, Cannon revealed that the mothers of his children, including Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, Bre Tiesi, LaNisha Cole, Alyssa Scott, and Carey, maintain amicable relationships. “But that’s the thing, I don’t expect them to,” Cannon said. “I think that’s the thing that people might always think that it would be that. But it’s like everybody lives their own life, before me and after me.”

He continued, “So I think that’s how you keep the peace and everybody moving, like everybody worried about themselves and not worried about what someone else is. As long as the kids are happy and they have the strongest understanding, I think that’s what makes sense. You gotta operate out of that.”

As their twins enter their teenage years, Cannon reflected on the changes in their co-parenting dynamic. “We gonna be done soon,” he said wistfully. “We got teenagers now. I’m about to shed a tear. It’s happening too fast.”

Cannon’s reflections underscore the bittersweet nature of watching his children grow up and the enduring bond he shares with Carey despite their separation. As the twins continue to mature, Cannon remains focused on ensuring their happiness and maintaining a strong understanding within their family.

While the future remains uncertain, Cannon’s hope for a reunion with Carey highlights the deep affection and respect he holds for her, demonstrating that some connections endure beyond the end of a marriage.
