Teyana Taylor has been doing a lot of celebrating lately. She recently dropped her latest project, “The Album,” and she and her husband Iman Shumpert are preparing to welcome their second baby girl.
On Wednesday, she joined Nick Cannonfor an interview on his morning show, and they talked about the new project, motherhood, activism, and much more. During a session of “Rapid-Fire Questions,” Teyana revealed that Erykah Badu is actually her midwife for her upcoming birth.
When asked if she would be having her second child at home the same way she did the first time around she said, “Yeah, I’m considering a home birth, and I’m actually going to be doing it with Erykah. Her and Iman are actually going to deliver my baby, I’m super excited.”
For those who may not know, back in 2015, Teyana Taylor unexpectedly gave birth to her baby girl Junie at home in her bathroom. On the opening track for her latest album, Teyana shared the actual phone call audio to authorities after she had given birth.
Teyana Taylor and Erykah Badu collaborated on the record “Lowkey,” for Teyana’s latest album.
As we previously reported, Teyana and Iman officially shared that they were expecting their second child together in the music video for their single, “Wake Up Love,” which is also on Teyana’s latest project. Prior to announcing the news, their baby girl Junie accidentally let the cat out the bag during an Instagram live prior to the records’ release.
