This movie has all of your top black actors and if you are a sucker for romantic comedies, this is an awesome pick for you. The movie stars Morris Chestnut, Gabrielle Union, Terrence Howard, and Charlie Murphy. Chestnut is an aspiring songwriter and Union is a divorcee with three kids seeking for a good man to speak some tender words to her heart. The movie is narrated by Queen Latifah and it’s one of the most beautiful things you will see this Christmas.
This Christmas(2007)
It seems like 2007 was a year for beautiful Christmas movies and this movie is one you could watch over and over. The cast is packed with amazing stars, Idris Elba, Chris Brown, Sharon Leal, Columbus Short, Regina King, Delroy Lindo, and Mekhi Phifer. This movie tells about the different obstacles a family must overcome in preparing for Christmas.
Almost Christmas (2016)
This movie is centered around a patriarch (Danny Glover) who is in mourning of his dear wife while making efforts to keep his family together. The cast of this movie is also star-studded with the likes of Gabrielle Union, Danny Glover, Oscar winner Mo’Nique, Keri Hilson, Kimberly Elsie, Omar Epps, Jessie Usher, and Romany Malco.
The Best Man Holiday (2013)
This movie will definitely draw out your emotional side, especially towards the end, except of course if you aren’t human. It is set around an NFL player, Lance Sullivan, who is about to retire and is also battling the grief of his wife suffering from cancer. Amidst all of this is a reunion of high school friends with different baggage. It is definitely a movie to see multiple times. Cast includes Morris Chestnut, Terrence Howard, Monica Calhoun, Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Sanaa Lathan, and Melissa De Sousa. By the way, watch out for the “Can you stand the rain” scene.
