Blue Ivy Scores Her First Billboard Hot 100

The sky is indeed blue for the little princess, Blue Ivy Carter. The first born of the musical icons, Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z, has earned her first Billboard 100 entry. Blue ivy is also the youngest person to take on this title at just seven years and six months.

Blue lent her vocals to the famous track, Brown Skin Girl for thirty seconds and struck a chord in the hearts of many. The famous track was produced  by  Beyonce which also featured other notable artists, Saint Jhn and Wizkid. The song was produced alongside other tracks such as Spirit, Bigger, Mood 4 Eva amongst others on the album, The Lion King: The Gift.

On the 3rd of August, the Brown skin girl placed a spot at number 76 on the Billboard Hot 100 on the week of its release. This earned Blue Ivy her first entry on Billboard Hot 100.

The track was indeed a hit across the world. The internet sizzled with hashtags of #brownskingirls, with Instagram having over 237,000 posts with the hashtag. Several challenges have also been created on the social media platforms such as #BrownSkinGirlsChallenge, #BrownSkinArmyChallenge amongst others. This is already more than a song, it’s a movement!!!!

Blue Ivy Carter has been a huge celebrity right from birth. From her show-stopping fashion statements to her diva moments, this young beauty is already stepping into the trailblazer shoes like her parents.

Also, the Carter Princess is not strange to the music scene. She made her rap debut on the track titled Blue’s freestyle/We Family. This was produced by her father, Jay-Z, from the album, 4:44 in 2017. She also made a stunning appearance in the official videos for Spirit and Bigger, all from Beyoncé’s new album.
