Fashion is a major part of human existence. We are barely two months to the end of 2018 and it seems the Black Magic fever that began the year is about to end the year in grand style. More and more awesome news keeps coming in from Africa and blacks in the diaspora. It looks like a year of smashing records.

After several months of intense research Vogue Magazine declared on October 24 declared that Off-white by Virgil Abloh was the most popular brand in the world.

Vogue monitored several parameters while carrying out this research. Some of these parameters include studying the behavior of about 5 million individuals. What strikes one about this revelation is the fact that Off-white beat all the odds to achieve this.

Firstly, Off-white is an all-black owned label. Secondly, the label was only established in 2012, that is four years ago. Despite all these odds Off-white has overtaken other labels that are older and have more experience with the market.

Winding back to last year, Off-white was number 33 on the list and this year the label has beaten the likes of Nike, Gucci, Prada, and Balenciaga to make it to number one spot. Though this is a major breakthrough it does not come as much of a surprise. This is because Off-white sportswear and belts were the most worn by celebs and fashionistas all over.
