Beverly David Robinson, founder and CEO of Juneteenth Unlimited, has created a commemorative coin celebrating Juneteenth; a federal holiday inspired by the African Diaspora, Black American history, and the fight for freedom.

The last known Black slaves were liberated on June 19, 1865. As a result, this date has become one of the most significant in African-American history. This commemorative coin honors and remembers our forefathers and mothers who suffered during the trans-Atlantic slavery system’s history.

This inspirational coin, is made of one troy ounce of .999 fine silver. And is made for anyone looking for a valuable keepsake to commemorate this significant new holiday.

The use of the Swahili word; Nahuona: “I see you” — makes it a fascinating coin. This word on the coin was chosen with great care and consideration. The concept of Nahuona may be one of the most effective ways to express empathy and compassion for our forefathers and all humanity.

Juneteenth Unlimited is also thrilled to be incorporating a West African Kente textile art design. The reverse side depicts Frederick Douglass, a former slave who became a well-known abolitionist.

Juneteenth, in addition to commemorating the last known day slaves were freed. It also serves to remind people that humans have an incredible capacity to heal and emerge from their darkest moments with hope and purpose. This coin symbolizes how people had to rise from the ashes to achieve freedom.

“Precious metals have proven to have financial stability throughout history,” Robinson says. This coin will hold its value for present and future generations. It’s time to rejoice and celebrate history with one of these cherished coins.”
