M’benda N’dour is a Senegalese American Software Engineer and beauty pageant Queen. She has a B.Sc in Computer Science, and two minors in Math and Africana Studies and works as a Full Stack Developer working with PHP/Laravel, Vue/Vuetify.
M’benda is the reigning Miss West L.A USA and is competing in Miss California USA in 2020.
As a kid, M’benda travelled to 50 different cities with her parents and her younger brother. “While traveling between States, my brother and I would play games like who can multiply numbers the fastest, or tinker around with their electronic toys. This ingrained a love of STEM, travel, and culture that I would carry into my adult years”.
The Senegalese Queen was raised in Los Angeles California and said that she thought her field of study and career would be In Psychology as she loves to help people, however after her first coding class, she knew that she would impact more lives, studying computer science.
M’benda N’dour is proudly black as she says “…I like to acknowledge the fact that I am proudly a woman of color, have open dialogue, and work really hard”.
This is a black queen that’s ruling both the spotlight and the geek world. There is nothing too difficult for Black People to excel in. Like M’benda N’dour, we can all have the best of both worlds.
