Close to two months ago the world was struck with grief at the death of the model, Kim Porter. She was also an ex-partner to rapper and business mogul, Sean Diddy Combs.
The autopsy report released by the office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner of the Los Angeles County states that she died of Lobar pneumonia. This condition is an inflammation or swelling of the lobes in the lungs.
Prior to the release of the results, the cause of her death was labeled by the coroner’s office as “deferred.” The recently released report has resulted in the coroner changing the cause of death to “natural.”
A spokesperson for the office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner spoke about the new development. He said the test was taken on November 16 and Porter’s body had since been released from their facility. At the time the test was taken, the results were deferred for further tests to be conducted. The results of the latter have just been released.
On November 15, Kim Porter was found dead in her Los Angeles apartment from a possible cardiac arrest. She had dated Diddy on and off between 1994 and 2007, a period during which they had three children together.
The coroner’s office has called for further tests to be carried out for the sake of “additional investigation” into the death of the model.
