Hilton has announced that a new Curio Collection by Hilton is to be built in the Cayman Islands after a deal was signed with NCB Group. The new 80-room hotel is expected to be open by 2021 and will birth a new era of upscale accommodation on the Islands. The hotel is billed to focus on the incorporation of renewable as well as energy-efficient tech and sustainability and wellness.
Hilton’s vice president in charge of development on the Caribbean said the company has decided to expand its investment in the Caribbean to matchup the inflow of tourists to that part of the world. To this effect, they have signed a treaty to work with NCB Group which they believe will be beneficial to travelers.
The beachfront hotel will be located at the edge of George Town with one to three bedrooms which will also be put up for sale. Each suite will have installed yoga mats, fitness equipment, energy-efficient tech, circadian rhythm regulating lights. There will also be an option of executive suites and penthouse suites which have private pools ensuite.
The Managing Director of NCB Group, Matthew Wight, said his company was elated at the opportunity to work with a giant in the hospitality industry, Hilton. The hotel will have two restaurants and a poolside café where guest can enjoy farm-to-table delicacies, fresh produce, local seafood, craft cocktails, and organic wines. There will also be spas, conference facilities, a fully-equipped gym, and a refreshing pool.
The Director of the Department of Tourism, Cayman Islands, Rosa Harris, shared that it will be awesome for the Islands to have such a facility provided by both companies. She said it was a welcome idea to have this sort of accommodations that will offer tourists exceptional experiences.
Currently, Hilton has almost 150 hotels spread over 25 countries in the Caribbean and Latin America.
