If you have not heard any of Drake’s singles this year then really you have to answer the question, “where have you been?” Drake is clearly and fire this year and is not taking it easy on the records at all. His single “In my feelings” as at September 22 had stayed 10 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This year he has broken the previous record of 28 weeks at the peak of the Billboard Hot 100 set by Usher in 2004. He achieved this feat via his three No. 1s this year. As if this is not enough Drake has become the second overall act and the only solo act to have had three songs at the peak of the chart for 10 weeks running. The songs include “In my feelings,” “Nice for what” and “God’s plan.”
All of these songs are from his album Scorpion. “Nice for what” had spent eight weeks at the top of the charts as it succeeded “God’s plan” which stayed on for eleven weeks.
