The Architecture

The traditional style of homes in Morocco are so beautifully different. Kasbah is a type of house style here, but other styles of buildings are completely Moroccan and make for the perfect backdrop to any photo.

Todgha Gorge

The impressive yet imposing orange rocks here make this canyon a favorite climbing spot. If you’re afraid of heights though, it’s still worth a visit even without a climb. You’ll find a market there with handicrafts for sale from the locals.

 

Casablanca 

Known to many as the namesake and setting of Michael Curtiz’s 1942 magnum opus (entitled just Casablanca), the city of Casablanca still reigns as the country’s largest.

 Casablanca is a port city and commercial hub in western Morocco, fronting the Atlantic Ocean. The city’s French colonial legacy is seen in its downtown Mauresque architecture, a blend of Moorish style and European art deco. Standing partly over the water, the enormous Hassan II Mosque, completed in 1993, has a 210m minaret topped with lasers directed toward Mecca
