The power couple Kanye West and Kim Kardashian arrived in Africa, precisely Uganda in East Africa in the second weekend of October. They were given a heartfelt welcome by the Ugandan President, Yoweri K Museveni.

On arrival in the country the family took over the beautiful Chobe Safari Lodge which is located right on the bank of the Nile River. The 41 year old rapper is said to be using the location for the recording of his next studio album Yandhi.

Reports from The Blast say that Kanye rented the whole of the resort for his recording to guarantee his privacy. On Monday 15 October the couple took a break off the project to pay a courtesy visit to the President of Uganda. During their visit to the President they presented him an autographed pair of sneakers.

Pictures of the visit were shared by the President on his social media amidst much excitement about all that was discussed during the visit. Among topics discussed by the both parties were plans necessary to turn Uganda into a vacation resort thus increasing global attention for the country. The President captioned the photos on social media thus.

I welcome American entertainment stars Kanye West and @KimKardashian to Uganda. I held fruitful discussions with the duo on how to promote Uganda’s tourism and the arts. I thank Kanye for the gift of white sneakers. Enjoy your time in Uganda. It is the true Pearl of Africa.”

This meeting is just a few days after the rapper had a meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House. Yandhi is expected to be released in November as Kanye’s third studio album this year.
