Fox News host, Laura Ingraham, is under fire as several rappers have called for her sack after what they refer to as insensitive comments about late rapper, Nipsey Hussle. Hussle’s funeral service held at the Staples Center in LA on Thursday and barely a day after, the TV host made a joke about a 2016 song on which the rapper was featured titled “FDT.”

She had wrongly stated that the late rapper released the song without making reference to the original owner, YG. Following this, she aired a clip of the song in which Hussle was nowhere to be seen. According to HuffPost Ingraham said, “That’s a very creative refrain, very catchy.” She made this comment relating it to the lowest unemployment rate ever, especially for African Americans.

She and Raymond Arroyo, a network contributor also laughed at a eulogy of the rapper by the Nation of Islam leader in which he referred to the rapper as “Nipsey Russell,” obviously a mistake. This has led to several artists calling for her sack by Fox News.

One of the first people to respond was Tank, the R&B star, who said it was pure disrespect to the late rapper and not news via his Instagram account. Just a few hours later, rapper, The Game, posted his own comment about the incident calling for the station to sack the host or risk losing many viewers and getting poor ratings. Several other rappers commented under The Game’s post including T.I. and Snoop Dogg.

Already an online petition to sack Ingraham has gathered over 17,000 signatures even though Fox News is yet to release an official statement.
