Earlier this week, the fast-rising rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot dead just outside his clothing store. His death has attracted loads of comments from artists and other celebrities. His family is currently seeking the best venue for his funeral/memorial service. They are facing a challenge though, the rapper was very famous in his community. Thus a very large venue will be required to accommodate all who will be in attendance.
The required venue should be able to sit at least 15,000 people. The good news is that Los Angeles has a couple of such facilities including the Staples Center, The Forum, The Long Beach Arena, and any of the UCLA arenas.
Staples Center has been chosen among the lot. This shouldn’t be a surprise seeing that it is home to the LA Lakers who Nipsey supported while he was alive. The Center was also the venue of Michael Jackson’s funeral in 2009.
It has been reported by TMZ that Nipsey’s family would want to conduct the funeral service within the next two weeks.
