One of Ghana’s finest actors is showcasing his new found passion in agriculture in a bid to inspire youths to diversify. The Popular actor and filmmaker, John Dumelo recently took to his Instagram page; to share pictures of his massive cabbage farm.
John Dumelo is one actor who has picked interest in the agricultural sector and doing quite well in the business. The actor had revealed during an interview with a local newspaper in Ghana; that what fueled his desire to venture into commercial farming was to provide food for the masses. John had also motivated the youths to embrace agriculture as there are enormous benefits in the field.
According to Pulseng, the 37-year-old actor recently took to his Instagram to show off the massive farm where he plants cabbage. In the pictures he shared, John was seen tending and inspecting the leafy vegetables. The actor also went ahead to give some reviews about cabbages and when they are due to be harvested. According to him, cabbages takes 2 to 3 months to harvest, and also one can harvest about 3000 to 5000 heads per acre; depending on the spacing. Each head can be sold for about 6gh which is about $1 depending on the season. He added.
Several reactions trailed after the actor shared the pictures on his page on Instagram. Many commended him for the good work he’s doing while some other persons professed that they will be starting their own farm too.
