Prince William has renewed his attack on population growth in Africa, blaming it for destroying wildlife on the continent.
“The increasing pressure on Africa’s wildlife and wild spaces as a result of human population presents a huge challenge for conservationists, as it does the world over,” William the prince of England said in a speech at a conservation awards ceremony. This controversial speech of his has set off sparks as to what exactly William is driving at. Critics have hitherto criticized him in 2017 for attacking population growth while expecting his third child, because in 2017 he still attacked Africa’s population growth. The 39 year old had echoed this same comments in 2017, when he said that Africa’s “rapidly growing human population” was putting its wildlife and habitats under “enormous pressure”.

Population analysts and experts have predicted that Africa’s population is going to double to 2.5 billion people by the year 2050; potentially making it home to more than a quarter of all the people in world by the middle of this century.
Prince William’s speech raised a lot of eyebrows as several commentators have said he has; “no moral authority to say anything about Africa or about Africans and their lives”.
“He should spend his time reading good history books and raising his many children and spending time with his very huge family spread out across the world. His opinion is sewage,” another Twitter user said.
Others have also suggested that the greater source of harm to the fauna on the African continent was European hunters in the early 20th century.
