On Thursday evening several hundreds of people got free winter coats handed to them by Cardi B in New York City. The people were met by the Bronx-born female rap star at the Marlboro Houses in Brooklyn.
The rapper who just won an award at the recently concluded AMA Award ceremony said she loved kids and it was an honor to be an example to them. She was given balloons and a cake in celebration of her birthday. She just turned 26.
In her words, “sometimes people think that we just do the messed up things but we really… care for the kids and our community and everything.” The amazing rap star was honored as well as she got a special gift on the same evening. Cardi B was originally christened Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar. CBS New York reported that the rapper was gifted a symbolic key to the Marlboro Houses.
Cardi B is not a stranger to the news. Only recently she was in the news for a melee that occurred at one of the strip clubs in New York. Despite the reports her lawyers denies the claims saying she did not cause harm to anyone.
Just a few weeks earlier Cardi B was involved in an altercation with another renowned rap star Nicki Minaj at the New York Fashion Week Party.
