Egypt forward and Liverpool ace, Mohammed Salah, has been voted Confederation of African Football (CAF) 2018 Player of the Year. This is the second year in a row Salah is winning the award.
Salah won the award ahead of his co-Liverpool star, Sadio Mane, and Arsenal forward, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The ceremony was held in Senegal last Tuesday. In expressing his joy at winning the award he said his childhood dream was to win the award and now he had won it twice.
Salah scored 44 goals in the 2017-18 season for Liverpool. He played key roles in Egypt qualifying for the Russia world cup and Liverpool reaching the final of the UEFA Champions League. This season the striker has scored 16 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool.

Thembi Kgatlana – Goal of the Year (against Super Falcons of Nigeria in the Group B game of the last Women’s Cup of Nations)
