According to Sparkle, a singer and the aunt of one of R Kelly’s victims, her niece is lying when testifying about her encounter with the singer when she was 14 years old. Kelly, who is accused of many crimes, appeared in court in Chicago earlier this week with his defense team. Prosecutors claim that among other crimes for which he has already been found guilty, he abused young girls for years while photographing their interactions.

The victim of R. Kelly who was depicted on the first leaked sex tape was one of the first witnesses to testify this week. R. Kelly was found not guilty of the allegations of child pornography in 2008. After he was apprehended in 2019, the victim in the video who had initially refused to cooperate with the prosecution decided to do so.
A singer by the name of Sparkle, the aunt of the victim, volunteered to testify in the 2008 trial and named R. Kelly as the man and her niece as the girl in the video.

Sparkle’s niece, who is now 37 years old, testified in court that she began having sex with R.Kelly when she was only 14 and had “hundreds” of sexual encounters before she reached 18. She continued by adding that Sparkle had introduced her to Kelly and that her aunt had urged her to sit on his knee and give him a head rub.
Unsurprisingly, Sparkle was not pleased with her niece’s testimony. She responded to the question, “Are you the aunt who had that child rub R. Kelly’s head? Please claim you’re not the one.

Sparkle replied, “Absolutely NOT! I can’t help the lies told on me & under oath at all… & cause ya momma mad at me cause y’all were FORCED to testify..”

As of now, Sparkle’s niece and her attorney have yet to respond to Sparkle’s claim she lied on the stand.
