Tai’raz Moore, a 6-year old boy from Detroit, was murdered execution-style in the basement of his family’s home. His father and his girlfriend were also found dead at the gruesome crime scene.

Police were called to the scene wherein they discovered the bodies of Tai’raz and his father’s girlfriend, 28-year old Isis Rimson, who were both shot multiple times in the back of the head.

“The execution-style killing of a 6-year-old boy is truly evil,” Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer told People. “It’s unthinkable and senseless. It showed no regard for life.”

Prior to that, police initially found the body of Tai’raz’s father, 31-year old Tukoyo Moore, who was also shot in the back of a burned-out car.

After searching the home, police found cash and narcotics, which led them to believe that the crime could be drug-related. No suspects in connection to the murders have yet been known but police are investigating the case.

“I contacted the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Michigan to look at the death penalty in this case,” Dwyer mentioned. “Michigan doesn’t have the death penalty. But the U.S. Attorney’s Office is going to take a look at it and we’ll see what happens.”

Meanwhile, Tai’raz’s mother is heartbroken with the tragic death of her son.

“You took my baby. You took my life,” Brittany Thompson told Fox2 Detroit. “How you killed him was so disgusting. You have no conscience.”

His family is mourning the death of the little boy, who was excited about losing his first tooth the day before the murder. He will be remembered as an outgoing, vibrant, and curious boy who enjoyed school, as well as singing and dancing.

A GoFundMe has been set by Tai’raz’s grandmother, Maurie Thompson, to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
