The penis is one part of the body men do not joke with. It has been reported and proven that the first thing a man checks for safety in his body is his penis.

The penis is a symbol of male Ego. Men with a smaller penis size tend to feel less manly than men with huge tubers between their legs. For a fact, it is said that white male anger against the black male is because the black man has a penis thrice the size of a white man’s biggest penis size.

Penis Enlargement creams, pills and procedures are advertised all over on social media. Details as to if the penis enlargement remedies are actually potent has not been actually proven; however there is a tribe in Africa who have mastered the Art of penis enlargement; even before the advent of plastic surgeries.

Batammariba People

The Batammariba, otherwise known as Somba people from Togo and Benin; were experts in the enlargement and elongation of the manhood and this was done during initiation.

“The people who are the real builders of earth” is said to be the real meaning of Batammariba though the colonizers; also gave them the name Tamberma which means “Good Builders”.

The Batammariba are estimated to be about 176000, with an estimated number (majority) of about 140,000; living in Benin and about 36,000 of them living in Togo. A person from Tamberma tribe  is called Otammari, call themselves as Betammaribe and their language as Ditammari.

Their spirituality is nature centered as they worship the Earth goddess, Butan. Butan, the goddess of the Earth and the Underworld, is Kuiye’s complement as either Kuiye’s wife or twin. Butan is the ruler of everything within the Earth or on its surface, including vegetal growth and agriculture, game proliferation, cemeteries, etc. Her corporeal form, invisible to humans, is said to resemble a mudfish, an animal that is thought to vomit up an infinite amount of water. Because of this, her main shrine is a village spring. Her complementary soul is called Bupe, and is visible as the surface of the Earth.

Location

The Batammariba, occupying the mountainous regions of the two West African countries; were not only popular for their ancient elongation technique but also for their architectural expertise.

In Togo, they reside in the northeastern Kara regions of Northern Togo with the Kabye (kabre) people, who are the second largest tribe in Togo.

In Benin, where they are known as Somba, they can be found around Atakora mountain range of northwestern Benin sharing a border with their Gur relatives in neighbouring Burkina Faso who also have a huge interest in architecture.

The Batammariba are agronomic herdsmen who inhabit the hills and valleys. Being clannish by nature, they oppose any form of domination and servitude. Historical research has traced their migration from diverse regions, settling in small groups, while preserving their societal practices of origin. It would be a mistake to presume that the Batammariba tribe form a homogeneous society. The Batammariba language is a strong common link and despite disparities in ceremonial practices; they all affirm allegiance as “Serpent Children”. They believe to be the offspring of a; grand, invisible, underground “Serpent Mother” who bore the first eggs of their ancestors.

Penis Enlargement Process

The penis elongation and enlargement procedure, was part of the processes to initiate boys into adulthood.

A traditional herb is pounded and robbed on the penis, then, a branch of a tree or an ivory is cut; and a hole of a particular size is made for the initiate.

The initiate puts his penis in it for some months until it reaches a particular size and length of his choice and can now remove it, according to historical accounts.

During the final public rites of initiation, rich clothes are draped over the shoulders of the initiates; cowries are hung around their necks and waists and horned headdresses are placed on their heads.

I’ll leave you to just take a moment and imagine the sizes that would emerge after the initiation?

The penis must be really revered amongst the people to have a special ritual assigned to elongate it.

There is a lot about Africa that is yet to be unearthed.
