Ghana’s social media atmosphere went bunkers today when a video of the ex-president, Jerry John Rawlings, directing traffic went viral. The video has the ex-president working very hard to ensure that traffic is decongested to achieve free movement of vehicles.

The incident which occurred at Prampram attracted lots of people who hailed the Rawlings shouting one of his nicknames, Papa J. Prampram is a coastal town found in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
The ex-Ghana president ruled as a military officer before transiting to civilian rule after winning the elections in 1992. He ruled Ghana for two terms, between 1992 and 2000, as a civilian President. Jerry Rawlings is the founder of the Ghanaian opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC).
