This weekend Nigerians go to the polls to elect their next president and a lot of people are speaking up. This is the first time so many influencers and celebrities are getting actively involved in speaking about the elections. Wizkid has joined the train by expressing his views about the election and the different political issues heralding the polls.

Davido, another popular Nigerian artist, recently spoke about his political preferences. He said he had received threats for the political choices he professed but he is void of any fear. Wizkid aired his opinion via his Snapchat account. He told Nigerians to go out and participate in choosing their next set of leaders and not sell their votes.

The “fever” crooner also warned against voting candidates who were endorsed by artists and celebs because they are likely to endorse candidates who have offered them some remuneration. He urged Nigerians to choose a person who they believed would move the country forward and give Nigeria a better image on the international scene.
