Sadio Mane’s transfer from Liverpool to Bayern Munich is really close after both the player and the club reached a verbal agreement ahead of the move.
The German club now needs to agree on a transfer fee for the Senegalese International with Liverpool, after having a bid of £25 million swiftly rejected earlier this week.
However, a fresh bid is expected, with Jurgen Klopp’s side wanting around £40 million for their forward.
Sadio Mane, 30, has one year left on his contract with the Reds and comments from the striker have hinted at a departure from Anfield.
Guardian Journalist, Fabrizio Romano, in a tweet, also revealed that a deal between the Clubs is close.
Liverpool signed Sadio Mane’s replacement on Tuesday, as Benfica striker Darwin Nunez was confirmed in a 6-year deal worth €75 million, plus add-ons up to €100 million.
A fee that could make the Uruguayan forward the most expensive signing in Liverpool’s history
