If you have never heard about Claude Lavie Kameni surely you must watched the AMA Awards where the beautiful host Tracee Ellis wore one of her amazing designs. Claude Kameni or CK as she is fondly called is a Cameroonian designer raised in Cameroon and now plies her trade in the United States.
Claude Kameni is the founder of Lavie by CK. She has always had a love for fashion which was groomed in her budding years as a child on the Cameroonian streets. She discovered her creative abilities early in her childhood with major strengths in clothing and art.
Fast forward to her migration to the United States and you have a new improved Claude Kameni. With more openings to build and hone her design skills she has come up with several amazing designs showing her undaunted dedication. Claude believes cloth designing is more than just a profession, it is an intimate process.
To come up with every design she puts into consideration style, theme, and the environment or the occasion where the design will be worn. Lavie by CK is is brand grown on the ability to skillfully manipulate African print to create eye serenading designs using pleats, silhouettes and flares.
The brand is gradually becoming a household name as several celebrities especially those of African descent are beginning to form her major patronage. Some of the most recent are Tracee Ellis at the AMA Awards and Janet Jackson in her latest music video “Made for now.”
