One of the most outstanding elements of one’s style is the beauty look. Since the face is in most cases the first part to be looked upon, it’s only right that we keep it on fleek!!!!
Beautycon Festival is one of the many beauty events that brings together celebrities, makeup artists, brands, entrepreneurs and of course, the fans, on a pretty grand scale. 
The convention took place in Los Angeles on the 10th and 11th of August, 2019. Some of the amazing highlights of the event was the insightful panel discussions, networking, amongst others.
Also, the convention provided the opportunity for many to be exposed to the latest beauty trends, financial tips and self care. Some celebrities had the singular honor of stepping into the shoes of a make up artist and performed their magic. Stars like Jhene Aiko put her “beauty hands” to work and did not disappoint!!!
Also, our show-stopping Black Queens showed up and showed out in their stunning looks on the pink carpet. From pops of colors, natural tones to bold lip colors and sparkly accents, our Bellas meant business!!!
We count down five of our favorite beauty looks from the festival.
5. ANGELA RYE
Angela showed us how it is done when it comes to elevating a jean outfit. With simple hoop earrings and a beautiful neck jewelry, her bold-colored eyeshadow got the centre of attention.
The intials of her name were also carved out as little pendants, which gave the look a personal touch. Her beauty look was altogether simple and stylish.
4. DRAYA MICHELE
Is there anything better than having make up on and still looking like you’re not??! Draya Michele is our absolutely stunning bare beauty.
With her curls pulled up in a ponytail, the natural glow on her face was just everything!!! She added a little bit of sparkle with a simple golden neck piece and earrings as well.
Draya’s look is effortless and is certainly giving us some inspos for the fall.
3. KELLY ROWLAND
Our BrownSkinKelly is taking the No. 3 spot. Kelly’s beauty look is soft, romantic and pretty in Pink!!! The singer’s hair volume and long curls highlighted a subtle take on vintage glam and we’re loving it.
Kelly was one of the panelists for the festival amongst others. She gave a pretty good narrative of what beauty should look like and encouraged the audience to embrace their uniqueness.
2. MARSAI MARTIN
Marsai Martin chose the “glitter way” for her beauty look and we heart it!!! The actor who turned 15 on Wednesday, dazzled on the pink carpet. Sporting a glittery look and glossy lip, Marsai showed us that girls know how to fun too!!!
1. SKAI JACKSON
Taking the number 1 spot is the sensational model and actress, Skai Jackson. This is indeed the year of YOUNG HOLLYWOOD. And yes, we couldn’t help but include her beauty looks on both days. They were just that good.
On the first day of the beauty festival, Skai dawned on a pink pop of color which added that necessary flair to her outfit. The choice of bangs was also a total game changer for her look. It gave structure to her face and it was a chic look overall.
For her second beauty look, the Disney star gave us some “blue chills” with the blue eye shadow she wore under her eyes. She balanced it off with a neutral pink lip. Her hair was also a great complement to her look.
