It is no longer a secret that the sequel to our favorite 2018 movie, Black Panther, is already in the pipeline. We may have no idea as to what twist we expect this time since the story is still under the sheets. What we can say however is that news about the cast has been revealed.
Angela Bassett while speaking to Entertainment Tonight revealed that every member of the cast in the original movie will return in the sequel. When asked about it she rounded her answer up in a phrase, “I would assume so.” Her actor husband, Courtney B. Vance, seemed to let the cat out of the bag when he said Michael B. Jordan will also be returning.
His return might come as a surprise since his character, Killmonger, sustained severe injuries when he battled Black Panther for supremacy towards the end of the movie. Black Panther was directed by Ryan Coogler and it grossed a whopping $1.35 billion worldwide. The movie also set a record of being the first superhero movie to grab the Screen Actors Guild Award for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture.
Black Panther was also the first comic book movie to get an Oscar nomination. We truly can’t wait for the sequel, just like the first, it should be worth every second of our time.
