“College graduates, business owners, medical professionals, and accomplished athletes all came out of her house,” Elrich said, highlighting Thompson’s “amazing, generous heart.”
Thompson, who has two biological children, has also formally adopted two of the children she fostered. She plans to retire once the child currently in her care graduates from high school.
“You have a lot to be proud of,” Elrich told Thompson. “You’ve quietly made a significant difference in the lives of dozens of children.”
In recognition of her tireless dedication and profound impact, Thompson was presented with a certificate of appreciation. Her contributions have left a lasting legacy, nurturing the lives of countless children in need and helping them to achieve their full potential.
