The imprisoned 81-year-old comedian and actor, Bill Cosby, has begun a new wave of attacks on the Pennsylvanian Judge. He does this as he seeks for bail while he is appealing his conviction for sexual assault.
Cosby’s lawyers submitted a bail motion last Wednesday to the office of the State Superior Court. The also submitted a complain that in the seven months since the comedian’s sentence, the Montgomery County Judge had yet to submit any opinion to explain key trial decisions.
It is necessary for the defense to have his opinion so they can pursue appeals on behalf of their client. The Montgomery County Judge is however not doing anything out of the ordinary as judges do not have a deadline before submitting such opinions. In some cases, where the cases are quite complex, the judges could take months before submission.
The motion submitted by the defense says that O’Neil is harboring some sort of grudge against the defense witness. O’Neil’s office has however refused to comment on the issue.
Cosby was sentenced seven months ago for sexually assaulting a woman in 2004 and he could stay in jail for between 3 to 10 years.
