Drake just set a new record his 12 Billboard award wins at the Billboard Music Awards which held on Wednesday night. This brings his total number of Billboard awards to 27, a new record. Other acts who went away with awards include Cardi B, Arianna Grande, and Imagine Dragons.
The event held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and it had in attendance the biggest music stars on the planet. The show was hosted by Kelly Clarkson who also had a slot to perform. Other performers include Taylor Swift, who opened the show, Ariana Grande, and Mariah Carey, who also won the Icon Award on the night.
Cardi B had the highest nominations on the night with 21 nominations in total. Coming in at second-highest is the duo of Drake and Post Malone with 17 nominations each.
