An ex-basketball star, Cliff Dixon, was set to celebrate his thirty-second birthday on Thursday. Instead of celebrations, it was all mourning as the childhood friend of Golden Warriors star, Kevin Durant, was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
The ex-basketball player was shot and killed late on Wednesday night. He was found in the parking lot of SL Lounge. The Lounge is a club close to the 4100 Block on Buford Highway. His wounded body was discovered in the parking lot by officers who immediately transported him to Grady Hospital.
Dixon succumbed to his gunshot wounds by the time he got to the hospital. It was a really sad situation as all was set for the birthday celebrations of the ex-player. Investigations are underway and condolence messages have been rolling out on social media.
