Last month Halle Berry along with several of her neighbors were forced to relocate temporarily because of the wild fires that rocked Southern California. It was during that period her multimillion dollar residence was raided by pirates who carted away lots of valuables.
Reports say the pirates got through to the model-cum-actress’ home using a boat. The estate is reportedly valued at $8 million, no wonder she became a bit unstable on returning home after the incident. According to a trusted source, Berry was shocked beyond her wits at the news of the pirate invasion, that she was too scared of returning home.
The source went on to disclose that the incident could be likened to a heist from a movie scene. This is because the pirates took off with very expensive valuables and artwork, most of which are irreplaceable. They were definite on what they planned to achieve and intelligent enough to use the fire as a perfect alibi.
Other prominent residents of the area include Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, and Gerard Butler. Most celebs have gone on to issue threats to potential pirates via different means especially social media. In fact Carey Hart posted a picture on Instagram with the caption “looters will be shot on sight.”
Prior to the incident, the estate was home to Berry and her two sons where she spent a great deal of her time.
