Its Christmas and the holidays are something everyone looks forward to including the Royal family. With Megan Markle joining the celebrations as part of the family for the first time. Gifts would have been exchanged before the black-tie dinner of the previous day during the afternoon tea.
In Sandringham, UK, Megan and her Husband Prince Harry alongside the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Catherine, were greeted by onlookers who cheered them as they strolled gingerly to the church as the Queen’s Sandringham Estate.
Prince Charles led the way while the ladies, Kate and Megan talked among themselves on the way to Church for the Christmas service. Markle, who is pregnant and expecting her first child with Harry, was seen for the first time since the couple announced that they were moving from the Nottingham Cottage to the Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. Remember that the Royal families are Windsor’s and the Queen only moved the celebrations to Sandringham in ’88 when the Windsor Castle was being rewired.
Prince Philip was not present at the service and so was Prince Charles’ wife who is recuperating from a bout of cold.
As is customary for them, they took their time to greet the crowd gathered outside the church after the service at St. Mary Magdalene Church. They were handed bouquet of flowers and wished a Merry Christmas by well-wishers. There was also the usual distribution of puddings, accompanied by a greeting card to the staff in the palaces, Court Post Office and Palace Police.
The Royal Family, including the grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other royal relatives would later sit at the table for lunch of turkey in the Red Drawing Room. Later on, they will watch the Queen’s speech at 3 pm followed by gaming and movie watching.
