A woman who claims to have had an illegitimate son with hip-hop mogul Jay-Z reportedly wrote in detail about how she became pregnant with his child in the fall of 1992, according to a recent report.
However, a source exclusively tells Page Six that Jay-Z has denied ever having met the woman in question.
“He doesn’t know her. This is not true,” the source familiar with the situation tells us, noting that an affidavit obtained by Daily Mail Friday may not even be “real” as it was “never filed in court.”
“Jay-Z doesn’t even know this person.”
Wanda Satterthwaite wrote in a notarized affidavit dated Feb. 25, 2015, that “after talking, drinking and dancing,” she allegedly went into a room with “Shawn” to hook up, referring to the rapper by his real name, Shawn Corey Carter.
She then claimed, “Shawn and I did have protected sex but the protection broke.”
Satterthwaite also noted in the document that she saw Jay-Z two weeks after their alleged hookup and he reportedly asked her to “leave” with him.
However, she claimed she denied the “Can I Get A ..” rapper because her mother would be “upset.”
“I never saw him again until years later on television but still had no idea of his real name until later and did not know how to reach him,” Satterthwaite concluded in the letter.
The affidavit from the woman resurfaced via her alleged son, Rymir Satterthwaite, as he pursues a paternity suit against the “99 Problems” rapper. According to the Daily Mail, the woman, Wanda, passed away in 2019.
Satterthwaite recently filed a court order demanding that Jay-Z take a DNA test to prove paternity. He has reportedly been fighting to prove that he is Jay-Z’s son since he was 21 years old and asked the court in February to unseal records dating back to 2012.
Despite his efforts, the Supreme Court denied Satterthwaite’s new motion and the Appellate division of the court also ruled against it on May 8. However, he reportedly plans to file an appeal with the District Court.
Wanda had previously filed a civil lawsuit seeking child support from Jay-Z in 2011, but it was dismissed because it was filed in the wrong state and was never re-filed.
