A photo is making rounds on social media in which John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are seen with Harvey Weinstein. Legend has been accused by many for hypocrisy after he recently spoke against R. Kelly following Lifetime documentary, “Surviving R. Kelly.”
I took a photo with and worked with Harvey on several occasions before his abuse was known to me and the rest of the world. Since his being exposed, his company and career have rightfully been destroyed and he’s been indicted. Sounds like something that should happen to R Kelly https://t.co/LgIOQpEnsP

In his defense the singer said he had worked with Harvey several times before he even had an idea of his crimes. Legend went on to say that Harvey’s career and company had been wrecked, an immediate result of his exposure. He feels Kelly should suffer the same fate after all the pain and hurt he has put so many people through.
If y’all wanna cape for R and discount all these women’s stories, just say it. Don’t bring up some old pics of me and somebody else. https://t.co/2wus2P7vNm

The photo making rounds was taken at the Sundance festival in 2016. It showed John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, pose with Harvey Weinstein. They can be seen smiling and embracing. Harvey is presently facing charges of rape and abuse in New York.
Legend is one of the few artists to have spoken against R. Kelly in the documentary that was aired on Lifetime between Thursday and Saturday last week. The documentary revealed multiple experiences of young women abused by R. Kelly over the period of his career.
We wait to see what impact the documentary will have on Kelly’s life and career. Already Spotify has taken down his songs from their playlist and several artists have denounced him publicly.
