Serengeti, a new natural history series which is produced from a partnership between Discovery and BBC Studios is on its way to the big screen. This series is highly anticipated and it has two of the biggest African actors of our day narrating it.
Lupita Nyong’o will be narrating the US version while John Boyega will be narrating the UK of the series. The series will be highlighting the several species of wildlife existing in Northern Tanzania. It focuses on the unified tales of a couple of animals in the savannah for a period of one year. The animal characters will include lions, warthogs, cheetahs, mongooses, etc. and they will be filmed using the latest technology.
The series is expected to be aired on Discovery Channel and BBC One later in the year. Nyong’o is really thrilled about working on this project and she couldn’t hold back her excitement. She said she has always loved Tanzania and is stunned to be working on this, counting it as an honor to lead the viewers through this incredible journey.
The series was produced by XIX Entertainment and John Downer Productions. It is expected to premiere later this year, we promise to share details as they unfold.
