MBBA MULTICULTURAL WEDDING
GHANIAN/SCOTTISH WEDDING
What a beautiful combination of cultures, this couple got us excited about every bit of their wedding, we just couldn’t take our eyes off them for a minute, the Ghanaian/Scottish wedding was perfectly planned to reflect respect for their cultures and also display class, the uniqueness of their wedding got us stunned and finally the love they have for each other made their day explosively romantic as they looked into each other’s eyes with so much love and got us thinking that they left the world behind and got lost in each other’s eyes. The colors of the day got people looking at each piece of colorful item in the event, the kilt and the bridal shoes are totally lovable. WOW! was the expression we had for this wedding between Josephine and Keith.
The couple, Josephine and Keith both reside in Baltimore and they met online in February 2010. Their multicultural wedding was held at the Bavarian Inn Mansion in Shepherdstown, West Virginia shared with 185 of their close family and friends.
THE PROPOSAL
The proposal from Josephine: “I had traveled up from Dallas for my Friend’s bachelorette party and so that Keith and I could go on a cruise the next day for a wedding for one of his friends. He picked me up from the bachelorette party so that we could get ready to leave for the cruise the next morning. When we got to his house he told me that I had received a letter (which was weird because I didn’t ever receive mail at his place). He handed me a letter that he wrote chronicling our relationship. As I was reading the letter, he apparently left to get the ring and when I finished reading the letter I turned around and he was on one knee and he proposed!”
THE WEDDING
Josephine and Keith’s wedding theme was classic fun; their theme colors were red, navy, and silver. They had a traditional outdoor wedding administered by a wedding officiant. The display of the bride’s African culture was so impressive, the couple praised their ancestry and embraced differences in their cultures with full respect. we could see so much pride in her father giving his daughter away while representing his Ghanaian ancestry, In the end, we could tell how fulfilled the bride and groom were of the big special day.
From the bride and groom: “The whole wedding experience was amazing. We loved all of our vendors, but we had the most fun at the reception. We loved the food, the DJ kept us on the floor dancing and our sparkler exit was the best.”
