It is probably so difficult to believe that the iconic model, Naomi Campbell, is just landing her first ever beauty campaign. Our guess is you are shocked, just as we were when we first heard the news that she hasn’t been on any before now.
NARS Cosmetics have changed that part of her story as they have signed up Campbell as the face of their 2019 Spring campaign. As you know Campbell’s looks could hardly let her down, she looked fabulous in her photo shoot.
The newly formed partnership was announced by Campbell herself via her Instagram handle. She posted a close-up picture taken by Francois Nars, photographer and also the founder of NARS Cosmetics.
The partnership is expected to bloom as both individuals have been friends a while. In an interview with US Weekly Campbell had disclosed that Nars had to personally make a foundation to suit her skin tone since there wasn’t any available at the time.
In speaking about the collaboration Nars said he had been a long time admirer of the model and he is delighted at working with the living beauty icon.
Naomi Campbell is not a stranger to breaking new grounds. She was the first black model to grace the cover of French Vogue magazine in 1998. A year later she graced the September issue of American Vogue magazine, also the first black model to achieve such feat.
