The official trailer of ‘Tuca & Bertie’ has been released by Netflix. The animated comedy was produced by the makers of BoJack Horseman and it stars Tiffany Haddish.
Tuca, which is voiced by Haddish, is a carefree toucan with loads of confidence that navigates 30-something with her building mate and friend, Bertie. The role of Bertie is voiced by Ali Wong.
In this trailer, you get to see how both birds navigate through their daily challenges as they get into a few shenanigans in their animated world.
The movie is expected to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on May 1 before its official release on May 3 on Netflix. Co-stars are expected to be present at the world premiere including Lisa Hanawalt.
Hanawalt said, “I saw her in Girls’ Trip and fell in love with her—it was the funniest movie I’d seen in years, I watched it and was like, ‘Oh my God, she’s such a Tuca.'”
The production of Tuca & Bertie was led by The Tornate Company and animated by ShadowMachine. The executive producers include Haddish, Hanawalt, Noel Bright, Steven A. Cohen, and Raphael Bob-Waksberg.
