Snoop Dogg is one of the most celebrated rappers of all time. He is not just a talented rapper but a seasoned entrepreneur and an iconic television presenter. Snoop just clocked a silver jubilee in the music industry, an amazing feat especially when you have been relevant all through.
You can be sure there is going to be lots of fanfare to celebrate the quarter of a century milestone, especially with the announcement of Snoop being honored on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr. will be presented his star at a ceremony that will be covered for Jimmy Kimmel live.
Expected to be in attendance at the ceremony are Dr. Dre and Quincy Jones, who are considered music legends the world over and have worked with Snoop over his 25-year musical journey. In her announcement, the producer of Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ana Martinez, showered praises on Snoop for his achievements in the world of entertainment.
Ana said, “Snoop Dogg is one of those people who can do anything. He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks, and helps community kids with his philanthropic work. He is a man of the ages and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
Snoop Dogg, 47, who was discovered in 1992 by Dr. Dre has since gone on to release 16 studio albums, selling 35 million records worldwide. Snoop Dogg was also recently celebrated by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce with a star. To mark his 25th anniversary Snoop is working on a stage play titled the “Redemption of the Dogg.”
