We recently told that Taraji P. Henson, the famous Empire star, will be getting her own star of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Well, she received the honor last Monday and she couldn’t hold back the tears. Taraji appreciated her grandmother who was in attendance, saying her prayers and care had brought her thus far.

#GODIS Thank you Hollywood Chamber of Commerce!!! I am grateful!!! #GodIs ?????
As expected, Mary J. Blige together with John Singleton also graced the honorary event. Taraji talked about the next project he will be working on. According to her, the next project will be about Emmett Till, the 14-year-old African-American who was murdered in Mississippi in 1955. His offense, allegedly whistling at a white woman who was shopping groceries.
She described the project as very emotional, one likely to drag her to some dark areas which she dreads. We celebrate with Taraji P. Henson on getting her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
