A woman has been arrested in connection to the shooting to death of rapper PnB Rock alongside a teen boy, with the teen’s father still on the run from authorities.
Four days after the rapper’s passing, Shauntel Trone, who is thought to be the boy’s stepmother, was detained and charged with a misdemeanor count of accessory to murder. What part she played in the murder of the dead rapper is still unknown.
Shauntel Trone’s age was given as 32 by LAPD Media Relations, but her arrest record gives her age as 38. Trone’s photograph or mugshot was not immediately accessible at the time this article was published.
Tuesday saw the arrest of Shauntel Trone in Gardena, California. She is still detained without bond.
Due to his young age, the 17-year-old who is accused of killing the 30-year-old rapper was charged with murder on Tuesday.
As of Thursday, the boy’s father, Freddie Lee Trone, age 40, is still at large.
After the teen allegedly shot the Philadelphia rapper before robbing him of his jewelry, police think Freddie Trone acted as his son’s getaway driver.
Sources also say the father and son duo were already in the restaurant’s parking lot when PnB arrived, seemingly removing the possibility that PnB was targeted from a social media post from his GF showing they were eating at Roscoe’s. We’re told after the murder, the suspects burned the getaway vehicle.
We previously reported that Los Angeles police have identified Freddie Lee Trone as a suspect in the killing of PnB Rock. This was announced in a press release early Wednesday, and they are warning the public that he’s still armed and dangerous.
“He should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, you are urged to call 911 for immediate assistance,” the LAPD said in a press release.
Freddie Lee Trone is wanted by LAPD and officers warn people to call 911 if he’s seen out and about.
