Beauty a proverb says, is in the eye of the beholder. The perception of beauty differs and varies as there are diversities of individuals. Beauty cannot be judged objectively. What one person finds beautiful or admirable may not appeal to another and it’s amazing the extent some people can go to deploy what they perceive to be beauty. The truth is, every woman is beautiful. Every woman is unique.
Everyone is endowed with unique personalities, gifts, talents and abilities and that sets the tone of true beauty. True beauty is real. It can be seen. It has an impact.
True beauty is not dependent on physical or outward attributes alone, but it takes it’s root from within. It has an origin, a source. The inner beauty is the most genuine aspect of beauty that validates the outward appearances that others see.
Thomas Carew, a poet wrote and tells us about the quality of true beauty, he says that
“beauty based on physical appearance is not permanent, it is very short but the beauty that is based on true heart and pure thought lives forever”.
ORIGIN OF TRUE BEAUTY
The discovery of our essence is what provokes the inner beauty in us. This helps to develop our confidence in God, in ourselves and our relationships.
Confidence is not built overnight though, but overtime. The more of yourself you discover, the more your true beauty evolve.
Beauty is how you feel on the inside and it reflects in your eyes. The feeling that brings sparkles in your eyes with the full brightness. True beauty reflects from your soul and creates an attraction to you.
The best part of beauty however, is that part that no camera can capture. The outer beauty attracts but the inner beauty captivates. True Beauty is not about changing yourself to be acceptable, it’s about acknowledging the beauty within you first of all, and then without.
To enhance your beauty, you have to discover and develop your self worth. You have to love yourself enough to look inside of you and not beside or around you for your joy, confidence and fulfilment.
There seem to be a breakdown in the discovery of true beauty in our day, so much that many women have lost their identities by refusing to accept their femininity. Accepting your femininity as a woman goes a long way in validating your true beauty.
Many have lost these identities through low self-esteem and now seek to change their genders, which is the most precious God-given gifts they have.
Several models compete to be chosen as the most beautiful person, but they are not told that the real purpose of the competition is to chose the one with the most beautiful personal qualities such as character, virtue, honesty, etc.
To develop the “queenly attributes” in you, you have to do the following:
1. Be true to yourself.
Don’t try to be who you are not. Accept yourself and believe that you have an inner self to explore. If you are unable to appreciate yourself, you will find it difficult to appreciate others, leading to complex relationships. As you make time for yourself, you will be able to establish your core values. Your gender, height, colour, temperament are unique. As you accept, celebrate and develop these qualities, your true beauty evolves.
2. Eat healthily.
Unhealthy eating results when you fail to understand and take mastery of yourself. Emotional breakdown has pushed many people to adopt unhealthy diet lifestyles. Some have become obese while others have become thin and out of shape. Unhealthy eating will affect your health negatively and limit your life span. You are what you eat.
3. Believe in yourself.
Good self esteem is very paramount to your fulfilment in life. Many women have become limit breakers, trail blazers and found their way at the top just because they believe in their God-given abilities. Work on yourself. There is room for you. You are entitled to a space in life; occupy it and be your best. Be free to be who you are meant to be. Your true beauty is in your difference. Don’t be afraid to exhibit your uniqueness. That’s the definition of true beauty.
4. Always leave enough time in your life to do something that makes you happy and satisfied.
She who knows others is wise but she who knows herself is enlightened. Locate your passion and use it positively to create self-satisfaction. Having a “me time” helps to bring out the best of you.
5. Develop healthy relationships.
This, you are able to do when you have discovered yourself. A beautiful soul makes you develop a winning attitude and that makes you attractive. It shows in your comportment and gives you an attractive personality. When you set your values right, it positions you around people who you share similar passion, goals and ideas, as a result, it helps to strengthen you and enhance your confidence.
